Cape Verde

Cape Verde, officially known as the Republic of Cabo Verde, is an archipelago and island country located off the coast of West Africa in the central Atlantic Ocean. The country consists of ten volcanic islands with a combined land area of about 4,033 square kilometers. Cape Verde was discovered and colonized by Portuguese explorers in the 15th century, making it the first European settlement in the tropics. The country’s economy is mostly service-oriented, with a growing focus on tourism and foreign investment. Portuguese is the official language.
